Lions are so funny when they do things just like your kitty at home would.  This group of lions, sort of lazily following the buffalo, went down to the water where the buffalo had been wallowing shortly before, and had a drink.

You can see them watching the buffalo but also thinking that it's so hot, and we're so tired--is it all worth it?

This one decided it was, and proceeded to cross the water.  He walked gingerly along trying to find the narrowest place.  You could see he hated every step in the wet.

Finally he found a suitable place to cross and went in, but not happily.

He climbed up the other side, glad to be leaving the water.  He shook off each paw, but it didn't do any good.

Then he continued across the area, trying not to step into any more water.  He had to really stretch to avoid one puddle.  It really reminded me of a house cat crossing the yard after a hard rain...............on a somewhat larger scale of course!
