Before we get back to lions and buffalo, here is the group in our vehicle at
Duba Plains having morning coffee. That's Dick on the left, the gentleman I mentioned before
who comes to Duba every year. The next two are business partners, one from Bermuda and one
from Canada. Then James, our excellent ranger, and Bill. I hope I didn't cramp their
style as the only woman in the group. It certainly didn't bother me!
If you take the time to look closely at the grasses as you go along, you
will see all sorts of pretty things, such as these butterflies in the morning sun.
And these pretty little purple flowers.
And down on the ground, a leopard tortoise just finishing a blade of grass.
This was our favorite tree at Duba. We knew where we were when we saw this.
This doesn't really fit in here chronologically, but it seemed a good place
for it. It's the note we found on our bed the afternoon before we left and is typical of
the little nice extra touches the camps have.
