I meant to include this shot of one of the ladies who take care of the rondavels at
the camps in Kruger before. The rooms are done each day for you just like in a hotel.
They also carry luggage on their heads like this.
Somehow this lioness got left out when I showed lions before too. She had
been lying down fairly far off the road and when we finally decided to drive on, she got up and
got a quick shot as we were moving away.
At several water places, the park has built very nice viewing blinds/hides.
It's a nice break for getting out of the car too. We were watching birds at this river when
this 16 foot/5 meter fellow floated by. He was very impressive.
There were lots of little crocodiles too, of course. They are not so menacing while they are asleep!
I think I mentioned all the terrapins trying to get across the road.
Here's a picture of some of them. They seemed to be very exciting and sort of running around
like turtles with their heads tucked in.
This is a shongololo--a millipede. Actual size. They are everywhere.
And here's what a kudu thinks of my comments. It looks as though she's
grown another big ear as a tail too!
