The whole region around Savuti Camp, the Chobe area, is known for its elephant
populations. We were not there for the high season when herds of 600 or more are roaming
around, but we did see plenty of elephants.
These three were nice enough to show us all views in one picture.
We tried and tried to get a good view of the teeny baby you see in the back
there, but the adults continually blocked us. It was obvious that they were protecting the
little one, which James said was very young--he could tell because it didn't have control of its trunk yet.
We were allowed to see this somewhat older youngster though.
These are in another group and I have entitled them:
This is my baby.............
..............And don't mess with him!
