Here are some of my favorite zebra pictures from Savuti.
I like the action in this one. It's taken from the front porch of our
tent. It's the latest thing in photography to show 'action'. I think it's just a way
of making slightly out of focus pictures seem okay.
Here's a more sedate pair crossing in front of us. You can almost see
the shape of the immenent foal in the closer one, can't you. This must be her and the
midwife going off to have the baby in privacy.
Here's a group in nice evening light. Only the colt cares that we are there.
I love this guy--curious, ready, but steady.
Probably the most favorite of the zebras. This looks terrific in the
large format.
This is the only the second time we have ever seen a zebra with ovals rather
than regular stripes on the face. Compare the right zebra with the left and you'll see what
I mean.
