Kruger Park was very green from recent rains when we were there and many of the
streams were full. We often had to go through fords where the water ran over the road.
The park has paved most of these places so they are smooth and hard, not places where you would get
stuck in the mud.
Sometimes the water was running fast and deep enough to give some concern--but
we made it through okay.
The rivers are so important to the park. We loved looking at
them--especially the Olifants. Here we look one way from the camp.........
.................and then the other. It's always beautiful.
From the bridges you often see wildlife like these elephants in the Olifants.........
After a nice drink and perhaps a bath, they leave the river.
