Can you ever imagine that you would actually drive by animals hardly glancing at them?  After a while in Africa, that's what happens with impala--there are so many, you just drive by.  But they are really very pretty, graceful, and interesting to look at.  They are all over the road and on both sides.  Usually a large group of females, with young in the season.

Waiting for the 'boss' to tell them where to go--here he is ushering them off the road.  The black hair tufts on their ankles help the young to follow.

Here's a nice healthy mature impala buck.

And a very young buck.

The ewes are beautiful.  People joke that the M on the rears of impala stands for MacDonald's because impala are the fast food of African predators.

A young impala with an oxpecker on its back.  These birds eat ticks off the animals, a nice symbiotic relationship.
