A Few Birds of the Kruger Park

This is a black headed heron, first posing for us and then doing some serious grooming.

From very large to very small: A male ostrich and a sunbird (probably lesser double collared).

From the ground to the tree tops: helmeted guinea fowl and a martial eagle.

Two little beauties: a lilac breasted roller and a long tailed shrike.

Two views of a three banded plover: one looking to see who interrupted his bathing and one taking care of a little itch.

This is a saddlebilled stork posing for us first in profile, then from the front, and finally pointing out his pretty pink knees.

Here is the stork again grooming: a tricky chest manuever followed by two apparently successful attempts at stabbing himself.
