We also saw some lions in the national park near the pan.  We were able to recognize this lovely lioness because of the wound on her tail, which Super thinks she got from a wart hog.  You can see from the spots that she's young--maybe not too skilled a hunter yet.  He said she would be fine--that the wound wasn't serious.

Young but attractive from any direction.  To me, lionesses are so much nicer looking and more interesting than lions.

A few morning ablutions............

And I finally learned how to catch a lion or lioness yawning.  First they lick their upper lip in the front...............

Then they open their mouths and close their eyes...........

And then they go all out with the full tonsil view yawn!  Nice teeth.

Then they get up and walk away.
