From Lower Sabie one morning we went to Mlondlozi Dam.  This dam is a great favorite of many people and many have had their ashes scattered there.  We ran into our friends from Holland viewing there too. 

As we turned onto the small road down to the dam, we saw an elephant walking very purposefully straight across the bush towards the dam.  After we were seated overlooking the large Mlondlozi water, we saw lots of elephants in the distance crossing from one side to the other and playing in the water as they went.

Then from the left we saw 'our' elephant approaching.

He went down and took a drink.

Mmmmmm.......how refreshing!

And  then he went along the edge a little and began to take a serious mud bath.

Notice the ducks swimming so casually in front of all this action!

Get down and dirty !
