From comments I received I think I'd better explain that the little plane was not Air Botswana--they use regular big planes.  These little ones are a small charter airline called Seofane (Say-oh-fahn'-nee) that just takes people to and from camps.  They are great to fly in because you are not very high and can see what's below you very well.  These planes are why we are limited to 26 pounds of luggage in a soft bag--it gets stuffed into that little added box below the plane.

Meanwhile, back on our first game drives................we had to go through very deep water every time we left the camp--it was really quite scary.  My picture of the water over the hood of the vehicle didn't come out--probably because I was using only one hand while I held on for dear life with the other.  The way the Rover rocked over when we went into deep places made me sure we would tip all the way and I would be trapped under the water.  Anyway, that never happened, and I was assured that it never did.  Our ranger/guide/driver was named something very long and unpronounceable and we were told to call him BB.  He did a good job with a difficult situation.  Because there was water everywhere, there was no need for the animals to be at favorite water holes, so they were hard to find at all.  We would go along sometimes for half an hour without encountering an animal--thank goodness for birds! There were hornbills everywhere.  Red-billed mostly.........

We came across some baboons early on.

And some giraffes......
