INTERNATIONAL EXPRESS MAIL originates with the United States Postal Service then transfers the package to a contract delivery service which handles final delivery within your country to destination.
In the UK, for example, the delivery is made by Parcel Force. Most of our orders average 1-2 pounds in shipping weight. Rates are determined by package weight:
Up to 8 oz: $27.00
Up to 1 pound: $32.00
Up to 2 pounds: $36.00
Up to 3 pounds: $42.00
Delivery times average about one week but we have no control over unexpected delays in your country's customs office.
We can likely ship an international order to you successfully. It should pass through with the proper documentation and treatment certificate. Although we are discouraging some international shipping, we will do it for most items if the customer realizes we have no control over the disposition of the package once it leaves the USA. It could be delayed for two weeks or more in your country's customs or, in extreme cases, seized and destroyed. Duty fees or VAT may also apply upon delivery and they are the receiving customer's reponsibility.
Lamplight reserves the right to refuse shipment of international orders we deem at risk of non-delivery. We will advise you at the time of your order if there is such a possibility. Currently Lamplight will not ship any goods to the following countries:
NIGERIA
JAPAN
Other countries may be added to this list as warranted.
ESTIMATING PROCESSING TIMES:
We will do our best to process and ship your order promptly. Orders generally ship within 1-2 business days of on line receipt of your order. This means that on line orders placed on Friday, for example, may not ship until Monday or Tuesday and so forth. Please calculate our necessary processing and packing times into your time sensitive calculations. It is helpful to us if you advise us of a specific deadline in the comments section of the order form or by email.
Please note some exceptions:
-if an item is not in stock, customer will be advised of the delay. Balance of the order may ship with out of stock item backordered.
-specialty items and large orders may require additional time to acquire, prepare and process.
