Craft Feathers and Decorative Feathers

Craft feathers is a loosely defined category that includes a variety of body feathers from an assortment of domestic birds. These can include turkeys, chickens, ducks, geese, peafowl, guinea fowl, and some pheasants.
Certain smaller wing quill and shoulder feathers fit into this category as well
The feathers are sold either loose by count (dozen, 50, 100), loose by weight (gram, ounce, pound) or strung (sewn) per lineal measurement (6 inches, foot, yard).
They are available in both dyed and natural colors. For example, turkey plumage is a natural off white but is available in a bleached white or any of several bright colors. Guinea fowl plumage is a natural black and white spotted but can be dyed so that the white areas pick up the dye.
